Semele jansen, student volunteer

Semele is an enthusiast third year student enrolled in the Tourism Management Degree. She has a profound love for learning about diverse traditions, producing strong connections abroad and experiencing foreign landscapes. Over the past few years, Semele has been fortunate to explore many destinations in Asia, and is looking forward to expanding these experiences by participating in the CBT Vietnam Project. As the new Community Development Leader for PATA Canada - Vancouver Capilano Student Chapter, Semele is eager and thrilled to be involved in more programs that focus on sustainable tourism.

Through growing up in Whistler, and the opportunity to travel, Semele quickly discovered her passion for the tourism industry. During her co-op last summer she worked in three different positions at Tourism Whistler, which strengthened her adaptability skills and ability to maintain a positive attitude in a variety of situations. As a Research Assistant, Semele successfully contributed to the Transit Project by performing surveys, entering data and creating reports for municipal organizations.

Semele is absolutely delighted to be apart of the 2017 CBT Vietnam Project! She is very excited to visit and research up to three sites and collaborate with different stakeholders.
