megan sadler, student volunteer

Megan is ecstatic to be joining the CBT Vietnam team and has recently completed a semester abroad at the University of Hertfordshire in England. While living abroad, Megan travelled extensively around the United Kingdom, Europe, and Northern Africa. This experience enhanced her desire to explore the world and experience new cultures. Upon returning home from her travels, she returned to work at Tourism Vancouver, where she has received significant exposure to international visitors and shares her love of Vancouver with guests. Giving back to the community is an important aspect of Megan’s life. Her natural curiosity and desire to contribute has guided her to become an active ambassador for the Tourism Management program at Capilano University, as well as with several charities around Vancouver. One of the achievements that Megan is most proud of is the LinkBC Project Change Beauty on Duty initiative she developed in 2014 with her classmates. Together the team collected over 12,000 toiletry donations from community members and hotels and donated them to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Shelter. Megan was the first ever student to be awarded the Vancouver Tourism Student Award, which celebrates an exceptional sense of service and exceeding expectations.

Megan is currently in the final stages of the Bachelor of Tourism Management program at Capilano University. Her goal upon graduation is to contribute to the success of the global tourism sector and to continue to explore the world.
